Description
Work of Lucas Sanz of Torrecilla dated in the year 1614. After the Holy Week of 1612, it is proposed in a town hall held on May 20th the need to make a badge of "when they begin to lift Christ on the cross", which was followed in the processions of the other insignia of Christ with the Cross in tow. The work is commissioned to the sculptor Lucas Sanz of Torrecilla, and the painter Francisco of Aranda. Both the sculptor and the painter were related to the Brotherhood, since both were brothers of the same. Its premiere took place on Holy Friday of the year 1615.
