Description
Stylistically, Víctor de los Ríos is not ascribable to any school. His language is absolutely personal and has no iconographic background or style in previous authors. He is the great pace maker from Leon, comparable to Gregorio Fernández in Valladolid or Ramon Alvarez in Zamora. The scene represented in this pace follows the usual characteristics of Victor de los Rios' style: idealized figurative realism and formal correction in the composition, achieving a serene and non-theatrical scene.
